Kilvroch is the Kennel Name of Eileen Eby:
Born in Rochester, New York, my formative years were spent in Ipswich, Massachusetts, and at lovely Lake Willoughby in Barton, Vermont. I graduated from Ipswich High School, attended McGill University in Montreal, Quebec and graduated with a Licentiate of Music in Performance on French Horn. Our family dogs included a loveable pembroke corgi bred by an aunt from stock she imported from Wales. After University, I moved to Boston where I continued my horn studies and did some free-lance playing. To support my horn playing, I took up a job programming computers for the Shawmut Bank's Check Processing department. In 1985 I moved to Atlanta, GA where my husband took a job as the classical music critic for the Atlanta Journal and Constitution newspapers. I continued horn playing on the side while working in the software industry. I acquired my first Cardigan corgi as a rescue, and when I added a rescue Pembroke to the mix, I became involved in competitive obedience training. My corgis both achieved their AKC CD's and CGC dipolomas, my Pembroke and I did some herding and then.... 1995 was a year of change. My husband and I divorced. I moved to England with my dogs The dogs and I love the English climate and countryside. Here in the UK I re-kindled my enjoyment of early music and played with
a local early instrument consort. In February 2001 I accepted a permanent position with EDS, working for their Royal Bank of Scotland cheque processing account. The account is based in Milton Keynes, but I am delighted to be working from my own home. In March 2003, I sold my converted Victorian Coach House near Reading, and moved to rural Northamptonshire, where I have more room for more corgis! While my days are spent doing IT, my available other minutes are spent as secretary for both the Daventry Dog Training Club and the Welsh Corgi Club of Cambria, as web master for the Cardigan Welsh Corgi Association and as consultant for Peter Clifton's e-commerce business: www.wildbirdfood.uk.com
